One doesn't need to build an organisation to follow their heart when it calls for a cause. That belief sparked Deeksha Sharma's journey of nature education outreach in Dholpur — beginning with small steps, heartfelt conversations, and a deep connection to the land she calls home.
Over time, she realised that true conservation cannot be imposed; it must grow from within the community. Guided by this understanding, she began engaging with locals, learning from the landscape, and gathering like-minded voices who shared the same vision — a journey that, in time, became Rivera Conservation Society.
Rivera Conservation Society is a community-driven initiative based in Dholpur, where the Chambal River and sandstone hills sustain a rich yet fragile ecosystem. We work to protect biodiversity and promote sustainable livelihoods.
Rooted in local culture and ecology, our mission is to restore harmony between people and nature through education, conservation, and collective action — so that the ravines, the river, and the communities who depend on them can thrive together.
Conservation cannot be imposed. We listen first, and build alongside the people who call Dholpur home.
Lasting change starts young — in classrooms, Eco-Clubs, and everyday conversations about the land.
We favour slow, durable work over quick wins — restoring land and relationships that last for generations.
